Responsibilities of Students

Thakur Vidya Mandir High school and Jr. College is proud to have me as a part because….

1. I am friendly, I avoid vulgarity, and I speak only English in school.

2. I lend a helping hand to my parents, teachers and friends.

3. I respect my teachers as much as I love and respect my partners.

4. I am fair and honest in studies and at play.

5. I look after the school property and take care not to damage it nor allow others to damage it.

6. I maintain silence in class and while going from one class to another.

7. I realise that loud and unruly behaviour would reflect badly on myself.

8. I hold myself responsible for my belongings and I can look after them. I bring only what is required by the time-table of the day, and any material not related to school activities will be liable for confiscation.

9. I attend school regularly and do not give the authorities any cause for dismissal for disobedience, disrespect or any kind of objectionable behaviour.

10. I am proud to wear its uniform as I am aware that I am a representative of the school and the society.

11. I always follow and observe all the instructions mentioned on pg. no. 79 and pg. no. 80 of the calendar, on daily basis in my life.

AN APPEAL AND A HUMBLE REQUEST FROM A CHILD OF THAKUR VIDYA MANDIR HIGH SCHOOL AND JR. COLLEGE TO HIS/HER BELOVED FATHER AND MOTHER.

a. Don’t be afraid to be friend with me. I prefer it, makes me feel secure.

b. Don’t tell me my fears are silly. They are terribly real and you can do much to reassure.

c. Victo1y does not lie in the realization of Goal.

d. Don’t let me fom1 bad habits. I have to rely on you to detect them in the early stages.

e. Don’t spoil me. I know quite well that I ought not to have I all ask for, I am only testing you.

f. Don’t put me off when I ask questions. If you do, you will find that I stop asking and seek my info1mation elsewhere. g. Don’t correct me in front of people if you can help it. I’11 take much more notice if you talk quietly with me in private.

h. Don’t make me feel smaller than I am. It only makes me behave stupidly “Big”.

i. Don’t protect me from consequences. I need to learn the painful way sometimes.

j.Don’t nag. If you do, I shall have to protect myself by appearing deaf.

k. Don’t take too much notice of my small ailments. Sometimes they get me the attention I need.

l. Don’t make me feel that my mistakes are sins. It upsets my sense of values. m. Don’t forget I love experimenting. I couldn’t get along without it. So please put up with it.

n. Don’t be inconsistent. This completely confuses me and makes me lose faith in you.

o. Don’t forget how quickly I am growing up. It must be very difficult for you to keep pace with me, but please do try.

p. Don’t ever suggest that you are perfect or infallible. It gives me a great shock when I discover that you are neither.

q. Please keep yourself fit and healthy. I need you.

r. But in the relentless pursuit of it, in this noble cause the humble co-operation of yours is solicited.
