Examinations And Promotions

1. Emphasis is now laid on the Continuous evaluation of performance of students during the entire academic year. Therefore, their performance in the 1st, 2nd & 3rd term Examinations, Oral Tests, Surprise written unit test, Practical and Homework project work, co-curricular activities, attendance record will be considered

2. For the purpose of promotion, the marks secured at the three term examinations shall be added together and the average calculated. 

3. Students securing 35% and above in the year’s average in each individual subject shall be eligible for promotion to a higher standard or will be promoted under R.T.E till Std. VIII

4. Condonation of marks in one or more subjects can be given, but not exceeding 3 subjects, provided the student obtains 35% in the aggregate, at a joint meeting of the principal and subject teacher concerned. 

5. The promotion of pupils, who for reasons beyond their control, are prevented from appearing for any examination and secure less than the minimum percentage prescribe for passing, will be decided on the basis of the remaining examinations performance. 

6. No text books, note books or other papers are to be brought into the examination hall. Students must bring their own instrument box, eraser, pencil, etc. They are not allowed to leave their seats without the permission of the Supervisor-in-charge of the examination hall. 

7. Any pupil found using unfair means in any examination and test is liable to get no marks for the particular paper. Similarly, after showing the assessed paper to the student, if any changes are made by the student the same punishment will be applicable. 

8. The prompt checking of the remarks and school reports is the responsibility of the parents / guardians. 

9. Pupils absent from an examination for any reason whatsoever will not be re-examined. Those absent from an examination without a grave reason will be considered as failed. For a valid and accepted reason, his/her case will be considered on the strength of the year’s record. 

10Absence from one or more subjects excludes the pupil from being reckoned in order to merit in the examination.  

11. On Open House Day, answer sheets will be given to the parents for reassessment.

12. Any issues, regarding evaluation of answer, reassessment of marks, promotion etc., will rest on the decision of the Principal, in consultation with respective class teacher concerned. 

13. Promotions and Detentions are decided in a joint meeting of the Principal and all the teachers concerned. The decision of the panel is therefore final and binding and cannot be re-considered. 

14. A student of Std. IX failing to be promoted, shall there by forfeit for a year and may even be advised to leave school, particularly if conduct has not been satisfactory. Failing twice, the pupil will have to discontinue studies in the school. 

15. Pupils who are absent for periodic test or examinations will not be eligible for prizes and other awards

16. A class 10 student will not be eligible to appear for S.S.C. Examination if he / she fails to get minimum C’ Grade in the non-academic subjects.
